Chalkwell Hall Junior School joins the Tenacitas Trust
A south Essex school has officially joined Tenacitas Trust, marking the beginning of a new chapter for pupils, staff, and the community.
Chalkwell Hall Junior School, on London Road, in Chalkwell, has teamed up with the trust after more than a year of partnership work.
During this period, the school and the trust developed enrichment opportunities and built a purposeful understanding of how they could work symbiotically.
Scott Sterling, chief executive officer of Tenacitas Trust, said: "We are delighted to welcome Chalkwell Hall Junior School into our trust.
"Their decision is a real endorsement of the collaborative and supportive model we have built.
"We look forward to working alongside Chalkwell to create new opportunities, strengthen teaching and learning, and ensure the school continues to thrive at the heart of its community."
At the heart of the trust’s vision is a belief in tenacity, with "tenacitas" being Latin for tenacity and shaping everything the trust does.
Anchored by a strong strategic plan and an innovatively developed model of school improvement and professional development, Tenacitas Trust aims to support schools in achieving their ambitions.
With a commitment to cross-phase education, from early years to secondary, and a strong emphasis on working alongside special and SEND schools, the trust brings together expertise to provide the very best for children at every stage.
Currently, there are two other south Essex schools alongside Chalkwell under the trust: The Eastwood Academy, and Bournemouth Park Academy.
Andy Newnham, headteacher of Chalkwell Hall Junior School, added: "We are really excited to be joining Tenacitas Trust.
"From the start, it was clear that this trust understands the importance of our school’s identity and values.
"We are confident the partnership will bring great benefits to our pupils, staff, and families."
The addition of Chalkwell Hall Junior School marks another important step in this journey, creating opportunities for pupils and staff whilst celebrating the unique character of each school.
